This project requires us to identify a building of contemporary architecture in Asia, and how it incorporates it's surrounding elements into the building. It includes the climate, environment, materials, etc of the specific context. We were then told to analyze how these buildings incorporate elements of vernacular architecture in maintaining the end user's comfort.
This project requires us to identify a building of contemporary architecture in Asia, and how it incorporates it's surrounding elements into the building. It includes the climate, environment, materials, etc of the specific context. We were then told to analyze how these buildings incorporate elements of vernacular architecture in maintaining the end user's comfort.
Reflection
Through this project, we were able to understand further how contextual architecture works in different parts of the continent. It solely depends on the conditions of a specific country, and is unadaptable anywhere else. Through the production of boards, I was able to communicate my ideas in a compressed manner through production of diagrams. The case study paper allowed me to thoroughly understand the topics discussed by gathering all of the reasrch findings.
2 : Case Study Paper
the second part of the project requires us to produce a case study paper on our topic proposal that discusses the matters relating to contextual architecture of our chosen building. Solid evidence is needed through record of photos, tabulation of data, interview, etc that would back up our research findings.
