Reflection

The main aim of Islamic Architecture is to give in depth education and exposure to students as to how Islam began in the earliest period of time, and how it affects the entire world at a massive scale, through architecture. Through the first project, we were given the opportunity to explore the different types of islamic architecture influences that are present throughout a certain area. It also shows us how the principles of Islamic architecture are applied in various ways. The compilation of the timeline gives us a clear picture of how the architecture progresses within time, while still maintaining its principles. Through the second project, we were to produce a write up on the principles of tawhid and how it is applicable in our building. We were to find information via numerous sources and tabulate the data through literature reviews.
