1 : Enhancing Street Community
The project aims to enhance the chosen street community by proposing a solution for an ongoing problem/issue on site. The project starts by conducting a site analysis to identify the key issues of the site in order to propose a solution. For this specific project we have chosen Petaling Street as our site, and we proposed an outdoor makeshift seating area that acts as a social space for the local community. This is inspired by the lack of amenities in the neighbourhood, hence proposing a social space is what they need. Materials chosen are easily accessible as it is recyclable and is abundant in the area. Overall, the project has inspired to think of the small things that may affect a huge change in peoples lives, through providing simple design solutions that may enhance their community.
