1 : On Site Sketching
For our first assignment we were tested on our ability to capture moments on site by recording them in the form of on site sketches. Documented sketches can be about the architectural elements of a building, its poetic qualities and the overall feel of our building, and it's site context. Our group was assigned the Rainbow Shop houses of Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Ipoh. We were to record things such as its genius loci, poetic qualities, cultural attributes and construction details

1 : Measured Drawings + Model
For our final project, which has been carried out throughout the semester, we were assigned to measure and document a building, that is historically, culturally and architecturally significant - and translate all the data into a complete set of drawings. Apart from on site measuring, production of cad drawings, students were also given the task of producing a construction model that best showcases theproper construction elements of our assigned building.
2 : Video + Report Documentation
For this project, we were required t conduct a study on our given building, and produce a 5000 word report with evidence of our studies. The report covers the significance of the building from numerous aspects, such as architectural, historical and cultural. It also aims to teach students on how to analyze the significant relationship of a building and its inhabitants. A photobook is also to be produced, containing 50 photos that best represents and captures the spirit of the building, as well as a 3 - 5 minute video that describes the building either from a historical or cultural point of view.
