1 : memorial architecture
poetics serves a great purpose in elevating architecture. translating a tragedy into architecture by incorporating intangible elements is deifnitely a challenge. the crisis of the rohingya people and the kinabalu earthquake are two very prominenet targedies in our country that does not deserve to be forgotten. this project challenges us to use architecture as a means to educate and bring these two tragedies to society's attention.

the sungai lembing vic aims to give back to the community, what we owe them. the people of sungai lembing have contributed so much to society in the tin mining industry, yet their sacrifices remains buried. the centre wishes to celebrate the people, and educated the visitors of the rich history that comes with it - turning the town to more than just an attraction.
